Slightly Better / Twix Slice
Healthy and better Twix slice
A smooth layer of choc, caramel, crunchy rice puffs and a sweet biscuit base makes this the ultimate dessert for healthy sugar addicts!

Takes: 3 hours
INGREDIENTS:
Base: Better biscuit recipe
Caramel:
¼ cup nut butter (Peanut, Almond, Macadamia)
¼ cup tahini
¼ cup melted coconut oil extra virgin
½ cup rice malt syrup
1 tsp salt
¼ cup rice puffs
Choc top:
2 TBLS cocoa powder
3 TBLS melted coconut oil extra virgin
2 TBLS mayple or rice malt syrup
½ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla essence
METHOD:
Preheat oven 180 degrees and line bread tin with baking paper
Combine better biscuit dough, and cover base of lined bread tin with biscuit dough. Bake for 15 mins or until brown and crispy
Allow to biscuit base to completely cool (remove from bread tin and place on cooling rack)
In a food processor combine all of the caramel ingredients until fully combined
Place cooled biscuit base back into the lined bread tin, pour caramel ingredients onto biscuit base and place in fridge for one hour to cool
Mix choc top ingredients and heat up if not combining, then allow to slighty cool
Sprinkle rice puffs onto cooled caramel
Pour choc mix onto rice puffs and cooled caramel
Place back in fridge for the whole slice to completely cool for approx 2 hours
Once all the levels have set, slice in pieces or bites
Store your new slice in the fridge for 5 days. The rice puffs will become stale after a week, best enjoyed fresh. Or cut into portions and freeze in an air tight container
